Falmouth is the ideal base and starting point for an unforgettable Cornish holiday. It is no co-incidence that many who have experienced this charming town on the Cornish coast are returning year after year.

There are plenty of spectacular coastal and inland walks and you reach most other Cornish attractions within an hour or less by car.

For those looking to play golf during their holidays there are three courses within 15 minutes (by car), Falmouth Golf Club (18 holes, offering not only a true test but also spectacular see views) can be reached in 5 minutes, Budock Vean (charming 9 hole course, but tight fairways, is only 10 minutes away). Killiow Park has recently been adding new, longer holes and is a real challenge now. You reach the course by car in 15 minutes. Anne Habbe, the owner of this Falmouth Bed and Breakfast accommodation, will only be too pleased to help you with more detailed information.

There is also a very well looked after Pitch & Putt course just next door to Falmouth Golf Club.

Gyllingvale Beach in Falmouth

Gyllingvase Beach

Falmouth features a host of quality restaurants, to mention them all would exceed the space available on these pages, but Art William's The Cove at Maenporth Beach, The Three Mackerel at Swanpool Beach offer great views as well as great food.

Some of Cornwall's most famous gardens are nearby with Trebah the most famous and only 10
minutes away by car. But don't miss Glendurgan (next door to Trebah) or Trelissick (on the route to
the King Harry ferry).

The facilities at Falmouth's three scenic beaches have seen recent improvements. Swanpool Beach experienced a face lift and the Gyllingvase Café is being extended to cater for popular demand. Not to forget, the Maritime Museum which features a host of new displays this season and is well worth
a visit.
